Retranscribing a look, an experience made in the Jardin Massey in Tarbes (France), a public place, where I observed and took note, at the manner of a naturalist. I looked at the traces and the notches present on the bark of a group of trees. These white steles reveal small volumes, which are the result of imprints made on the trees's garden. The plaster columns hold in balance and testify to the fragility of the environment studied. The spectator, as he wanders among the columns, is confronted with his own activity and with the responsibility for their fate.
