Evanescence of matter. Crayfish made of raw earth dissolve in a puddle of water that I create on the floor of a room. The organic forms become small piles of earth as they soak up water and then stain the floor. The material remains when the form has disappeared. This installation evokes a fishing scene where American crayfish, an invasive and unmarketable species, are left or crushed on the shore.
